The spike roller will gather any pushed out bulk material into the discharge conveyor. The perpendicular arranged discharge conveyor is in most applications a screw conveyor. A sensor located in a surge hopper above the screw senses the proper filling of the screw and surge hopper. The entire system can be used to vary capacities through VFD's and associated conveyor systems.
